The Lion King, Jr. Costume and Prop Design

I was extremely lucky to work with O’Maley’s drama department to help put together the costumes and props for our production of the Lion King, Jr. With over 200 students in the play and 3 separate casts, almost half of the middle school was involved in the production!

My after-school crew of sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students hand-dyed fabric, built paper mache props, and created masks out of recycled materials to outfit all of the performers. It was a lot of work, but seeing it all come together in the end was incredible!
